Family -- Niece Lisa visit October 2014

Our niece, Lisa, came to visit her auntie and unkie in mid-October. When she arrived on Tuesday, we quickly spirited her off to Atlantic City, where she'd never been before. Here are a few pics of our road trip and on the boardwalk in Atlantic City. We started off with lunch at the Phily diner in Runnymeade, NJ!

Lisa and I hungrily awaiting our order.

Bob's waiting, too.

It was def worth the wait!

I did manage to get a couple pics of the Diner on the way back from AC.

As soon as we arrived in AC, we all took a walk along the boardwalk and got some sand in our toes (well, we would have if we had taken off our shoes!)

We had reserved a suite for 2 nights at the Borgata, sharing it with Lisa, like we used to in the "old days." Had a great time there, but we didn't come home winners (except for Bob).

Left -- Well, we've freshened up after checking in and it's time to get to it!!! Lisa's very ready for some video poker!

And so is Sharon!

One of our fave spots - the Borgata video poker bar.

Ahhhhh, cranberry vodka, a glass of water and an e-cig
chaser for Shar.

After a few good hits at the Borgata (pics below), and a lovely 2 days there with Lisa, we headed home to Chesapeake Beach.

Lisa and I find some veg time on our deck after our return from AC.

The next morning, Lisa rousted us for a 2-mile walk along our beautiful railway nature trail. Crisp clear weather, ahhhh!

Next, a fishing trip with Unkie on Captain Drew Payne's boat - The Worm. Perfect day for their outing. And fish
were caught!!!!

Leaving the harbor and Windward Key townhomes behind.

Always time for a brewskie!

With the Captain!!

Lisa sampling some Moonshine ...

Since Lisa is into sushi, we took her to dinner at Sakura's where we met up with our friends Conne and Bucky O'Dell and Karen and Bobby Sanders.  Our chef was awesome! So funny and creative.

Ahhhh, feeling stuffed and happy -- but our socializing didn't stop there. We headed for a nightcap at The Green Turtle.

After Sakura but before Green Turtle. We were happy campers!!

Hard to sit on stools after a drink or two - one happy group!

The "girls." So . . . after AC, and fishing, and a 2-mile walk, and dinner at Sakura with the Sanders and O'Dells, and a nightcap to top off the evening, we took Lisa to the airport the next day. On way to airport - did we tire you out??

I can't finish this narrative without mentioning that Lisa helped me clean out our garage and we ended up making SIX trips to the dump!! Help like her is hard to find!! Gonna miss her. Sniff sniff!!!  Toodles, Lisa, until next time.

And . . . here as promised, are some of our good hits while at the Borgata.

Bob hit it big in Triple Double Bonus for $1,000!!!!!
