Family -- Florida with Al & Linda, April 2016

My youngest brother, Gary (on the right), and I had a chance to visit my brother, Allen, and his wife, Linda, at their beautiful home in Jacksonville Beach, FL.

Entrance to the music festival we all attended on the ocean. Just look at that beautiful sky. Perfect day.

Of course, Al and Gary had to get some cold ones to start off the day. Later, I found a pina colada that they poured into a real pineapple with ice cold chunks of pineapple floating in my drink. I had many happy sucks on that puppy!

Linda being her usual crazy self miming the statue behind her!

Of course we had to go down to the ocean to feel the sand between our toes. Actually, I don't like sand between my toes. So awesome.

Gary and Allen on the boardwalk looking for a place to eat with oceanview. We found it!!!

Perfect place to park ourselves. Ooops, there's my pina colada on the table - I believe the pineapple is empty!

While eating, a guy came by our table with his parrot and asked Allen if he wanted to "hold him." Afterwards, Allen said, "That thing was digging his claws into my arm and YOU wanted me to smile for the picture!!" We ate very well at Monkeys as evidenced by the following pics. This is Al and Linda's favorite "go to" place.
Linda and I had a "girl" day. After running into a couple of stores and getting some things done, we stopped for a tasty lunch at Cruisers Grill. Yes, I did indeed eat my way through my FL trip!!!

Linda getting "hot" and ready to drive us around while the guys played golf.

Linda with her adorable daughter who served us a delightful homemade snack! And, it is in her backyard where I saw my very first orange tree. Amazing.

A gorgeous shot of part of their community. Truly a great place to live.

We spent many a happy hours on their screened in lanai as did their dog. He's absolutely precious.

One last look around before we leave for the airport.

I call this the "wine corner."

Outside of their end unit. So cozy and no unit on one side, since they have an end unit. Really great that we didn't disturb anyone during our rowdy, late night talks.  On our way to airport via Casa Marina restaurant where Al Capone and his "buds" used to hang out when hiding from the Feds.

Wow, what a place for lunch. Again, right on the ocean.

View from our lunch deck.

Lovely Linda! The birds! The birds! Don't look up. They just kept coming and coming.
After lunch, a stair-step pic of brother/sister/brother. Gotta love family!
Waaaaaahhh! Don't want to leave!  Perfect ending to the perfect trip. Thanks Allen and Linda for just the best visit ever. And to Gary who drove me down to FL to see them. Lots of great memories!!!
